How does temperature change as you move higher in altitude?

This question is at the heart of an aeronautics lesson for 5th through 8th grade science students. In this lesson, students use years of temperature - altitude rocket data to make a graph of altitude versus temperature. Students use their graph to draw conclusions about some of the problems associated with high altitude flight.
